THE STORY OF THE PASIFIKI (TONGA) R&D CORPORATION

Ever since we planned to set up our Pasifiki-Tonga online store in May 2023, the Founder of PTRDC had one goal in mind: to help the less fortunate workers in the informal sector in Tonga who were affected by the restrictions of the COVID19 and the devastating & most powerful volcanic eruption in the world to date to recover their loss livelihoods by helping them sell their products to anywhere in the world,  She said, "Whilst the workers in governments and most private sectors were paid during the restrictions of the COVID19 and after the volcanic eruption and tsunami, the livelihood of the informal sector workers were completely lost." As the National Secretary General of the Tonga National Workers' Council, the Founder's commitment to help the affected informal sector workers is no surprise to anyone in Tonga.

We will start exporting "lightweight" handicrafts that can be easily couriered ensuring a consistent variety of beautiful Tongan handicrafts along with unique designs that fit any budget.
